Aconcagua Prep School

Have you ever thought about what it might feel like to stand atop Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas? Maybe you’re fascinated with the idea of testing yourself at 22,000ft and above but you’re not quite sure what you’ll need to get there.  Or maybe you’re already committed to climbing Aconcagua and are keenly aware of (overwhelmed by?) how much preparation and smart decision-making is involved in succeeding on an expedition like Aconcagua. That’s where we come in.

Join us for an in-depth exploration of the groundwork, strategy, personal logistics, gear and mindset essential for this legendary expedition. We like to think of it as our Aconcagua Prep School: a live, hands-on, small-group webinar series that guides you through thoughtful, tangible, and at times surprising tactics as you get ready for your own Aconcagua attempt – no matter if that attempt is happening as part of a guided team like ours or independently, this coming season or a few years down the road.

AWE’s Aconcagua Prep School webinar series is hosted by Sunny Stroeer, a true Aconcagua veteran with more than a decade of experience on this Andean giant. Sunny’s experience spans the gamut and allows her to distill learnings that combine many different perspectives – from succeeding on the mountain solo and unsupported to setting multiple speed records to leading AWE’s Aconcagua teams on an annual basis since 2016.
